The purpose
The purpose of the role is to independently or assist with assess and advise on the estimated new replacement cost / Reproduction cost, market Value, Insurance and forced sale values of various types of business assets, heavy industrial machinery, and plant equipment.
Undertaking valuations of plant and equipment for a range of purposes including loan security, financial reporting, M&A and insurance valuations
Key Responsibilities
- Valuations of various types of business assets, heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment as per the guidance provided by the International Valuation Standards (RICS/IVS).
- Review and participate in the preparation of proposals.
- Perform a mixture of physical site visits inspections, interview clients, desktop modelling, market analysis and research of the plant and equipment.
- Aggregating, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting the data.
- Liaise closely with clients and ensure high-quality advice is consistently delivered.
- Providing Clients with robust well-considered valuations
Skills/Experience
- 3 + years of experience in appraising / evaluating machinery & equipment at a professional services firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS, Assoc RICS) and Register Valuer status or ASA member.
- Proven working experience as an Evaluator / Appraiser for industrial equipment & machinery.
